چکیده
Aims Chemokine receptor type 5 is recognized as the main co-receptor in HIV infection. Many studies have shown that deletion of 32-base pairs (bp) both alleles CCR5 leads to reduction or elimination expression this gene immune cells and natural resistance This study aims determine frequency delta 32 mutations healthy people, referring health center Gonabad City, Iran, focus on finding new treatment methods for HIV. Methods & Materials In descriptive cross-sectional study, after obtaining ethical approval informed consent, blood samples were collected from 293 people along with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid anticoagulant. Genomic DNA extraction was carried out by kit, investigation (∆32) mutation investigated via polymerase chain reaction method. Findings Our results showed who referred center, 269 (91.8%) had a without (188 bp), 15 (5.1%) heterozygous bp 156 9 (3.07%) homozygous (156 bp). Conclusion Based results, rate Region, studied community higher compared similar studies, more epidemiological molecular are needed better conclusions.

The frequency of CCR5 promoter polymorphisms and CCR5 32 mutation in Iranian populations
Evidence showed that chemokines serve as pro-migratory factors for immune cells. CCL3, CCL4 and CCL5, as the main CC chemokines subfamily members, activate immune cells through binding to CC chemokine receptor 5 or CCR5. Macrophages, NK cells and T lymphocytes express CCR5 and thus, affected CCR5 expression or functions could be associated with altered immune responses. Deletion of 32 base pai...
متن کاملDistribution of the mutated delta 32 allele of CCR5 co-receptor gene in Iranian population
Background :The CCR5 is a chemokine receptor that serves as a co-receptor for HIV-1 attachment and entry to T lymphocytes. A 32bp deletion (∆32) in this gene is believed to be associated with resistance to infection and delay disease progression. The aim of this study was to determine the ∆32 allele frequency in healthy individuals and HIV-infected individuals with AIDS. Methods : In this e...
متن کاملFrequency of CCR5?32 Variant in North-West of Iran
Chemokine and chemokine receptors show several variations which may affect resistance to infectious disease. A 32 base pair deletion in the open reading frame of the human CCR5 gene (CCR5?32) results in producing a truncated antigen which fails to be presented on the surface of target cells. CCR5?32 variant is not a functional co receptor for HIV-1 entrance and delay the onset of acquired immun...
